To be honest – it is not easy to understand the discrepancy between the diverse producers of X-Ray equipment. We know that. To understand this technology better we offer tutorials and individual mentoring for future customers. We show you exactly how everything is connected: Software, components, their interaction and impact on your detection-result.

No matter what we figure out together:

What are the main drivers when it comes to following costs?

Honestly spoken there are mainly two positions that make an X-Ray inspection system more expensive (TCO-wise) than a metal detector. The generator and the receiver. These two components are differently priced from supplier to supplier. And some of them last ten or more years, some of them have to be changed every two years ore more often. Please take this also into consideration before you decide for a supplier. Ask your RaymanTech specialist why RaymanTech systems make the difference also in these points.

Does an X-Ray inspection system replace a metal detector?

Generally spoken every X-Ray inspection system is the better metal detector. So in 98% of the time the answer would be YES. There are just a few applications where a classic metal detector can deliver better result than an X-Ray inspection system. Please ask your personal RaymanTech specialist for more information.

What do I need and what do I have to take care of when I am planning to purchase an X-Ray inspection system?

The governmental rules vary from country to country. Even inside several countries there are differences. Please ask your personal RaymanTech specialist for more individual information.

What about set-up, data-management and control/authentication?

Every machine can come with serial port, USB, ethernet port and OPC - whatever you like to have. Auto-set-up feature provides you quick and easy set-up with simple operation. Historical data statistics, quality report generation, reminder time record, full box alarm, and lots of operation management features ensure best process control and data transfer.

Why are some X-Ray inspection systems so much better than others?

When you try to figure out which supplier will meet your demands best, you will probably have a trial and test the machine in your factory or at the supplier´s testing-center. When you compare the different test-results you fill find surprisingly big differences in detection results and/or number false-rejects. Why is that? As you can imagine it takes a lot to build world-leading X-Ray inspection systems.
